Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Handro Learning Centre website, accounts, lessons, videos, tests, progress-tracking tools and related services.

By creating an account, purchasing access or using Handro Learning, you agree to these Terms. If a student is not legally able to accept these Terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them on the student’s behalf.

1. About Handro Learning

Handro Learning Centre (“Handro Learning,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a Barbados-based educational service established in 2014 to teach Mathematics and Information Technology.

Handro Learning provides supplementary educational resources. It is not a school, examination board or qualification-awarding institution.

Handro Learning is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Caribbean Examinations Council. References to CSEC Mathematics describe the examination or syllabus our educational materials are designed to support.

2. Eligibility and Student Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep that information current.

Each student account is intended for the individual use of the registered student. You must not:

• Share your login information with another person.
• Allow multiple students to use one individual account.
• Attempt to access another person’s account.
• Provide false registration or payment information.
• Use an account for commercial teaching or redistribution of our content.

You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity conducted through your account.

Contact hello@handrolearning.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Students Under 18

Handro Learning provides educational resources that may be used by students under 18.

Where a student is not legally able to accept these Terms independently, a parent or legal guardian must authorize the account and supervise the student’s use of the service.

The parent or guardian is responsible for reviewing the service and ensuring that the information submitted for the student is accurate and appropriate.

4. Educational Services

Depending on the type of access provided, Handro Learning may offer:

• Recorded instructional videos.
• Written explanations and worked examples.
• Practice exercises and tests.
• Course and lesson progress tracking.
• Free preview lessons.
• Other educational resources introduced from time to time.

We may correct, update, replace or reorganize educational material when reasonably necessary.

Minor content changes or improvements will not normally extend a customer’s original access period.

5. Educational Results

Handro Learning is designed to support understanding, practice and examination preparation.

We do not guarantee:

• A particular examination grade or result.
• Admission to a school, programme or profession.
• Completion of the course within a particular period.
• Improvement without consistent student participation and practice.
• That every lesson will match the teaching sequence used by a particular school.

Tests, scores and progress information displayed on Handro Learning are learning tools. They are not official CSEC results, school grades or professional assessments.

6. Free Access

Handro Learning may provide selected lessons or features without payment.

Free material may be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time. Creating a free account does not automatically provide access to paid courses or features.

7. Prices and Payment

Handro Learning currently offers two payment options for one full year of access.

Barbados bank transfer

Customers who select the Barbados bank-transfer option must pay a fixed amount of BBD $98.00.

Customers should transfer the amount displayed on the bank-transfer page using the banking instructions provided.

Access may remain pending while the transfer is being verified. Submitting a payment confirmation does not by itself prove that payment has been received.

Paid access begins after Handro Learning verifies the payment and activates the customer’s account.

PayPal

Customers who select PayPal must pay USD $49.00.

PayPal, a card issuer or a customer’s bank may convert the USD amount into another currency using its own exchange rate. The payment provider may also apply currency-conversion or transaction charges. These additional charges are determined by the relevant provider and are not collected by Handro Learning.

One-time payment

Both payment options are one-time payments for one full year of access.

They are not subscriptions, and customers will not be charged automatically when the one-year access period ends.

To continue using paid content after the access period expires, the customer must purchase access again at the price displayed at that time.

Customers are responsible for any separate transfer, card, currency-conversion or payment-processing charges imposed by their financial institution or payment provider.

8. Seven-Day Refund Policy

You may request a refund within seven calendar days after your paid access is activated.

To request a refund, email hello@handrolearning.com and provide:

• The email address associated with your Handro Learning account.
• Your PayPal or bank-transfer reference number.
• The name associated with the payment.
• A brief explanation of the problem, where applicable.

Once a refund is issued, access to paid Handro Learning content will be removed.

Approved PayPal refunds will normally be returned through PayPal. Approved bank-transfer refunds will normally be returned by bank transfer. We may request the information reasonably necessary to complete a bank-transfer refund.

Refund requests submitted after seven days will generally not be accepted, except in cases of duplicate payment, a material technical problem that prevents access, or where a refund is required by applicable law.

This refund policy does not limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of Barbados.

9. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the lessons, videos, explanations, tests, graphics, branding, website design and other materials available through Handro Learning belong to Handro Learning Centre or are used with permission.

Purchasing access gives the registered student a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the material for personal educational purposes during the applicable access period.

Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of the material to the customer.

You may not:

• Record, download or copy material unless a download feature is expressly provided.
• Republish lessons, questions, tests or videos.
• Upload course material to another website, platform or file-sharing service.
• Sell, license or distribute Handro Learning material.
• Remove branding, ownership or copyright notices.
• Use automated tools to extract or reproduce course content.
• Use our content to create, operate or train a competing educational service.
• Display paid material to groups for commercial teaching without written permission.

10. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Interfere with the operation or security of the website.
• Attempt to bypass payment, account or access controls.
• Introduce viruses, malicious code or harmful material.
• Scrape or systematically collect website content or user information.
• Submit false payment or refund information.
• Use the service to threaten, harass or harm another person.
• Use Handro Learning for an unlawful purpose.

11. Service Availability

We work to keep Handro Learning available and functioning, but continuous or uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

Service may occasionally be affected by maintenance, internet problems, hosting providers, video providers, payment services, security incidents or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where reasonably possible, we will work to correct material service problems promptly.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if a user:

• Shares an individual account with others.
• Copies or distributes protected course material.
• Attempts to bypass payment or security controls.
• Uses fraudulent registration or payment information.
• Seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms.
• Uses the platform in a way that creates a security or legal risk.

Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Serious fraud, unlawful activity or security threats may result in immediate suspension.

A user may stop using Handro Learning at any time. Closing or abandoning an account does not automatically create a right to a refund.

13. Third-Party Services

Handro Learning may rely on third-party providers for hosting, data storage, payments, video delivery, email and other functions.

Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by law.

Where a third-party service problem materially affects access to Handro Learning, we will take reasonable steps to investigate and assist.

14. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are explained in the Handro Learning Privacy Policy.

By using Handro Learning, you acknowledge that you have been given an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Handro Learning will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from:

• Examination or academic results.
• A student’s failure to complete the material.
• Internet or device problems.
• Temporary service interruptions.
• Third-party payment, hosting or video services.
• Unauthorized account access caused by a user’s failure to protect their password.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of Barbados.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Barbados.

Before beginning formal proceedings, you agree to contact Handro Learning and allow us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and attempt to resolve the matter.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be handled by the courts or other competent authorities of Barbados, subject to any consumer rights that apply in another jurisdiction.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, prices, payment methods, technology or legal obligations.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where a material change affects an existing customer’s paid access, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
