Handro Learning Centre (“Handro Learning,” “we,” “us” or “our”) provides online educational lessons, videos, tests and progress-tracking tools. Handro Learning was established in Barbados in 2014 to teach Mathematics and Information Technology.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices available to you when you visit handrolearning.com, create an account, use a lesson or purchase access to our services.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

We may collect:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your password in securely protected form. We do not have access to your original password.
  • Your selected form or educational level, where requested.
  • Messages and information you send when contacting us.
  • Payment-confirmation information for bank transfers.
  • Information supplied by a parent or guardian when creating or managing a student’s account.

Learning and account information

When you use Handro Learning, we may record:

  • Courses and lessons viewed.
  • Videos accessed.
  • Test answers, scores and completion results.
  • Course progress and account-access status.
  • Registration, login, payment and account-activation dates.

Technical and usage information

We may automatically receive:

  • Your Internet Protocol address.
  • Browser, device and operating-system information.
  • Pages visited and time spent on the website.
  • Referring pages and advertising links.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technical information.
  • Website errors, performance and security information.

2. Payments

Handro Learning currently offers two payment methods:

  • A Barbados bank-transfer option charged at BBD $98.00.
  • A PayPal option charged at USD $49.00.

Both are one-time payments for one full year of access. They are not automatically renewing subscriptions.

When a customer selects bank transfer, we may collect the customer’s name, account email, payment reference, amount, date and any payment confirmation provided to us.

Online PayPal payments are processed by PayPal. PayPal processes payment-card and account information according to its own privacy policy. Handro Learning does not receive or store a customer’s complete payment-card number.

We may retain transaction references, payment status, amount, payment method and other information needed to verify payments, activate access, provide refunds, prevent fraud and maintain financial records.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and maintain student accounts.
  • Provide lessons, videos, tests and progress tracking.
  • Activate and manage paid access.
  • Process, verify and record payments.
  • Remember learning progress and account preferences.
  • Provide customer and technical support.
  • Send essential account, payment and security messages.
  • Protect accounts and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Diagnose errors and improve the website.
  • Understand how visitors use the website.
  • Measure the effectiveness of advertising.
  • Meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

Handro Learning does not sell students’ personal information.

4. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

Handro Learning may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website functioning, remember sessions, understand website usage and measure advertising performance.

The services we currently use may include:

  • Vercel, for website hosting, performance monitoring and website analytics.
  • PayPal, for processing online payments.
  • Meta, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, for advertising measurement.
  • Neon, for hosting account, payment-status and learning-progress data.

Meta and other providers may receive technical information about website visits and actions taken on the website. Their handling of this information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Where consent is legally required for non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will request consent before activating them.

You may restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, account or lesson features from working correctly.

5. Students Under 18

Handro Learning provides educational resources that may be used by students under 18.

If a student is not legally able to agree to this Privacy Policy independently, a parent or legal guardian must create or authorize the account and supervise the student’s use of the service.

Parents and guardians may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of a child’s personal information, subject to applicable legal, security and recordkeeping requirements.

Students should not submit unnecessary personal information through lessons, tests or support messages.

6. When We Share Information

We may share only the information reasonably necessary with service providers that help us:

  • Host and operate the website.
  • Store account and learning records.
  • Process or verify payments.
  • Deliver account-related communications.
  • Monitor website performance and security.
  • Measure advertising performance.
  • Provide accounting, professional or legal services.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our users or the public, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or as part of a lawful business restructuring.

Service providers are not authorized by Handro Learning to use personal information for unrelated purposes, except where their own legally disclosed processing applies.

Some of our service providers may process information outside Barbados. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in Barbados.

Promotional messages will include a way to unsubscribe where required. Unsubscribing from promotional messages will not stop essential account or transaction messages.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of those websites.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change.

The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal information is used, where required by law.
